What's up?

BNHS has the biggest land allocation for classroom construction in the central Luzon. It covers five (5) hectares only for the classroom. At present, Grade 11 and 12 are enjoying the generosity of Hon. Albert S. Garcia with the 2-storey (10 classrooms) he donated and was named after the late Hon. Tet Garcia. The said building was made the administration building where different offices are located. Security Bank also contributed 2-storey (8 classrooms) which are being used by the Humanities and Social Sciences (HUMSS). DepEd provided 2-storey (16 classrooms) all set for the Accountancy and Business Management (ABM). At the moment, the 4-storey (20 classrooms) from PAGCOR is enjoyed by the Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM).

Laboratory equipment were also provided by DepEd occupying the straight ground floor of the said building. Just last year, a 4-storey (20 classrooms) intended for the TVL. These include the different technical workshops that are being used manually. The parents of our clientele also have laid their benevolence by providing one (1) million-peso cost of robotics and laboratory equipment. Currently, the city also provided half a million pesos for the robotics and other laboratory equipment. We are also proud to announce that we are recipients of the School Learning Hub as the City’s Venture to uplift the technology education of the youth of the City of Balanga. The same manner, we were installed with the Solar Panel connected to SLH consumptions. Air-condition units were also installed to the SLH. The computer 40 sets per classroom computers completed the Senior High School’s School Learning Hub.

What can we offer?

BNHS-Senior High is now offering four tracks with different strands. In ACADEMIC TRACK, the PRE-MARITIME is the primary strand offered in academics. BNHS-SHS has signed a memorandum of agreement in partnership with Maritime Academy of Asia and the Pacific (MAAP), March 3, 2017. We also offer the Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM); the Accountancy, Business and Management (ABM); the Humanities and Social Sciences (HUMSS); and the General Academic Strand or (GAS). We also accommodate the ARTS AND DESIGN divided by the Vocals, Dance, Visual Arts, Theatre, Instruments, and Animation Media Literacy. At the same time, we also cater SPORTS TRACK incorporated to Arts and Design with their core but is separated on their specialization due to limited number of enrollees. The TECHNICAL- VOCATIONAL TRACK has the greatest enrollees where we deal different strands namely: Contact Center Servicing (CCS); Computer Servicing System (CSS); Electrical Installation; Dress Making and Tailoring; Animal and Crop Production; and Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW). Just recently, 8 specializations in TVL were approved by the Region. Bread and Pastry, Food and Beverage, Cookery, Commercial Cooking, Caregiving, Domestic Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning (DOMRAC), Packaged Air-Conditioning Unit (PACU).

Note that our enrollees are not only from our very own BNHS Junior High school. We believe we are also catch basin of the different nearby towns and provinces, in fact, some of our students came from Aurora, Pangasinan and even Ilocos Sur. We have faith it is through the legacy BNHS has planted.

BNHS-Senior High School already hired 106 licensed teachers mostly from the Junior High School and others from different careers who undergone Certificate in Teaching Profession. Three (3) among them graduated as DOST Scholars, eight (12) graduated the Master’s degree. Five (5) are now enrolled in Doctor’s degree. In TVL, most teachers already have National Certificate of Competency (NCC). In fact, 13 has NCII. Three (3) has TM and two (2) passed the Assessor’s exam. This made us trust that without a doubt, BNHS Senior High can create a productive citizen.  Today, we already HAVE 88 competent teachers and 10 non-teaching staff accommodating the Senior High School.

Beyond the credibility of the teachers are the students’ achievement. Last semester, one hundred forty-six from ABM; four (4) from HUMSS; four (4) from GAS; and 4 from TVL undergone and passed the National Certificate Competency (NCII) in Front Office. It is the goal of the BNHS-SHS for this academic year especially for TVL Grade 12 students to undergo and passed the National Certificate of Competency. Just recently, CCS student, Grace C. Magsael top the Intercultural Exchange Programs Examination of Youth for Understanding which entitled her to study in the U.S. A. One proof of SHS excellence.

Flight of the Fleat

“A journey begins with a single step”. Who can ever say that with only a year of planning and preparation, BNHS-Senior High will be a realization? The vision is now a reality.

Bataan National High School has made herself well known of quality education, and lifelong learning institution. With the launching of Senior High School, it will soon open a new chapter of story and history but people will never forget what is inculcated in the mind of the teachers of BNHS, “A true leader leaves a mark when he left”. At the moment Dr. Capili, enjoys the office of the ASDS in DepEd Tarlac City office. But before he went there, he ported the Senior High School all-encompassing. As of him, he sees BNHS in 2018 a well-established Senior High school, where youth relishes success in excellence not only in the academe but also in services.

At present BNHS-SHS is managed by the current ASDS, Roland M. Fronda, EdD. The thought about “understanding the smell of the sheep” which we often hear before is never heard anymore. Dr. Fronda on his temporary stay in the school had established an excellent leadership and organized the new face of the SHS. He is now maintaining the good emblem in SHS. Support from the local government, private sectors, and parents has made things little by a little a realization of the vision. We can now say, Department of Education, with the compassionate brace of industrious work force, Bataan National High School-Senior High School is an inclusive haven for the youth.
